He remembers hearing Senri, though, seeing him running down the halls calling for Shiki as he'd been emerging from the East Wing. It's not too hard to imagine why the kid would want to disappear for a while.
So when he sees that ball of orange hair at the stairway, he pauses, gently making his way over to try and intercept--
