Indulgence? A world where everyone gets too much of what they want.
[The deal, though, makes him frown. He is actually too cute of a guy (minus that weird fucking eye) to be frowning and looking serious this much all the time, but alas.]
[please we don't sasuke to actually look decent and senri might call him an ikemen to his face
that said senri shrugs and relaxes a little now that he hasn't had a knife pointed in his direction in a little bit]
I dunno, something I haven't heard yet? I don't trust you, but I also try not to play around when it comes to actually important stuff. I've heard this is an information game, and also a lying game, and you can't tell good lies without good information.
I'll tell you what I know if you tell me what you know. You can fact check me against the gods you meet - I don't have anything to gain from spreading lies about them.
[For a long moment, he looks conflicted and skeptical, brows pinched.] Breaking a rule does have repercussions. I tested it. I asked Ray to make me a lock, but Patience took away the fifth floor. I took the lock out of the new room after the second rule was given. Nothing happened.
Later, I went back to the armory for this dagger. I was punished for it. [Which must be why his arm is tucked inside of his shirt.] It could be the gods, but it could also mean things we make aren't included in the rule.
[wow that sure is a dangerous question but senri's mouth asks it before he can actually get his brain to stop - but it's clear from his tone that he thinks right now, given the options, he doesn't think sasuke actually would
whether it's out of some weird 'we've had two conversations now i'm exempt' or 'i have info so he won't do it while i'm useful' it's hard to say!
HE'S GONNA MOVE ON LIKE HE DIDN'T ASK IT ANYWAY]
I don't know if you heard me when I said that I'm trying to play so no one has to get hurt. I know I'm on a time crunch - but I'm still gonna try. That means I don't want you to get hurt either, even though you're a jerk.
[He doesn’t answer the first question because he wants Senri to believe he will actually kill when necessary. He just stares. Pointedly.]
Idiot. [He’s reminded of a certain someone again, and it puts a sour, warm feeling in the core of his stomach. A confused one.] You’re going to end up dead. Especially pulling stunt like you did.
If you aren’t a liar, and the world you say you want is true, align with Justice. He says he wants to make a world where everyone can live together as a family. He’s too young, and he needs whatever help he can get. [His eyes narrow.] Unless you already are. Someone who doesn’t want others to get hurt makes a new rule which limits what can be taken from rooms—like weapons.
[ . . . . . . senri's brow furrows and his expression twists uncomfortably.]
I said I didn't want to know your god.... Stop being weird.
[sasuke why are you putting him in a difficult position wtf]
Anyway, he's not mine - I met with four gods. Two who extended their hands out to me to start, and two others I've heard good things about.
... I do want to say thanks to whoever made that rule. I think it's interesting. Because ultimately it means that people can't take out weapons - but they couldn't do that without leaving their name either. But it also means that we can't easily leave offerings, so it limits the flow of information. I want to know what their intention in doing that was.
He isn’t my god. He’s just one I got an audience with. [Lonely Justice. :(] I already told you my god.
[His eyes don’t unnarrow so much as soften slightly.] It’s a decent failsafe. It didn’t work with the lock Ray made. Limiting offerings keeps those aligned with gods with less followers at a disadvantage when seeking audiences with other gods. But it also puts a target on you for later. [Like him.] You have to give an alibi for yourself. If it’s a lie, you’re suspicious. If it’s the truth, people will be able to tell what god you were talking to depending on what you gave as an offering.
Have you tried requesting an audience with a god with another person?
[oh my fucking god. senri mentally rewinds the conversation and
give him a second he's going to just press his head against the nearest wall and hold a hand out to sasuke]
I need a second.
I'm thinking about how much I hate you. I can't tell if you're really smart or really ridiculous, so just - hold on. If you were really telling the truth -
I don't know, that actually sounds like pretty standard ninja fare.
[but he inhales and. siiiiiiiiiighs deeply.
and then turns back around to sasuke.]
I don't know - the gods have their own rules. One of them is 'don't spill it all at once', but I think they can tell us more about themselves and unmask as time goes on. And I asked if I could bring a friend to an audience since I don't always ask the best questions.... and the god I asked didn't know if that was against the rules or not. If that'd count as directly poaching followers from another god - so that god might get in trouble. I obviously don't want to try it with my god - or any god I like.
No. I’m aligned with Cunning and swapping to another. Justice is too young and naive. He believes too much in others. That’s why I’m sending you. [He is being MEAN but honest.] If you want an audience with Indulgence, I’ll try it with you. It would mean two unaligned to them would be attempting.
I've heard Justice is young, 10 or something - but I can't switch to a team that doesn't have a chance of winning. Maybe when he has more followers, I'll look into it.
Tch. I take back what I said about the brains. He isn’t going to win if you and others won’t join him, idiot. He doesn’t get more followers unless more people follow him. [GEEZ. Irritably, he sighs. He might not have his ninjutsu powers, but he can still fucking hear, Senri.
One brow rises pointedly.] Fine. Next week when the rule lifts. We can fill the bowl with food or alcohol, unless it’s something you already tried. You wouldn’t clarify.
I don't want to hear that from you when you said you'd go follow someone else - unless that's a lie and you're recruiting anyway?
[senri doesn't believe anyone about anything it's fine. ninjas.]
Indulgence snubbed me - and I tried to give cakes to all the gods I wanted to meet. [senri really likes cakes and hopes that those gods would too? they were like. custom cakes.] I've heard that they're a former ruler. Flamboyant, but picky. I was thinking jewels - but I wouldn't know where to get one of those.
Maybe the costume hall might have something fit for a king....
[indulgence: yall have to fuck on the bowl to summon the likes of me]
I'm not going with you to be cut down by a god who is insulted by you bringing them costume jewelry. We could just kill Cecil or Blackfire. They both have a "jewel."
[Is he serious? Is he joking? The two of them are going to be fucking dead. Great.]

I don't trust a stage actor.

[ . . . . that's his first answer really, though he does glance over to sasuke's arm now and he frowns.]
... Is your hand okay? Your arm?
[he's not like. a doctor? he can't do anything for it. but he does frown and look worried, for what it's worth]
no subject
I don't want your pity.
no subject
Are you serious? Are you going to ask another god if they can fix it maybe?!
[he already said he doesn't do pity he's not repeating himself hE'S WORRIED, YOU EMOTIONALLY DISRUPTED BINCH]
no subject
I don't want handouts from gods, and I don't want to owe them. So no. I can survive without the use of my arm.
no subject
Is this a ninja thing? Were you prepared for this?
Is it your dominant hand? Can you still eat? Write?
How come you aren't more freaked out?!
no subject
You're so annoying. I know what I'm capable of being able to do. Being afraid will just get me killed. Why are you so worried?
Wouldn't you be glad with seemingly less competition?

Anyway, thanks for the lying tips.
So you're with Cunning and swapping to Justice?

I don’t know if two will make a difference.

Kill— Why is your first thought murder?!
[SASUKE, he's crossing his arms in an X formation.]
Vetoed, vetoed! Not worth it! It'd be easier to find an Indulgence follower than killing somebody!

I can try to steal it.
Defecting to Fortune wouldn't work. The item is random.
