it's a little bit after trial is done. he went to the kitchen to get a cup of tea to warm up his insides first, and then he got to work. perhaps that's why when he comes to find sasuke, he's got another plate of food. rice balls and tomatoes, along with two mugs of tea in the other hand]
Hey, give me a hand.
[he's still cold but i'm so tired of writing his stutter okay]
[Really, he's probably brooding. The look on his face when he turns around to see who comes in is definitely brooding, especially swaddled in stupid modern scene kid clothes and a blanket jacked up around his shoulders and neck.
But the intense look softens slightly, turns curious, and he doesn't have anything else to do but lift slightly quivering hands up from his place on the floor by the fire to accept whatever Senri decides to give him--a mug, a plate.]
[he gets the mug, and senri will take the plate. he's going to try to pull another small table closer so that they can both hang out by the fireplace with their dinner. he places both items down on the table puts it between them because senri has officially invited himself to join sasuke for dinner]
[Quietly, he watches Senri set everything up. He doesn't have the energy to complain about being bothered, about wanting to be left alone. He tries to decide how to answer this now that he can't do anything but lie to Senri until Monday.
He's frowning. He shakes his head.] Weeding. [He peers at Senri.] Should I be concerned there was a reason for him being on the list?
Nope. The people that I mentioned on Merriment - they look after me, because they get worried that something will happen to me since I talk so much. They would've known if I did something shady.
[Bowing his legs, ankles crossed, he uses his knees to rest his forearms on, cupping the mug out in front of said knees. For a moment, he hangs his head down, chin against his chest.]
Have you asked people what they'd want if they could make their own world?
Mm. [The grunt is the only yes he'd be able to give; otherwise, it'd come out no. Slowly, he lifts his head enough to peer at Senri from under his brows and dark fringe.] The things people believe... even if it's their own illusions... is why they're standing by their god.
Why do you think I chose him? Why did you choose the god you did?
... I've always wanted to be more sincere. I guess I'm getting a crash course in it here. But for a long time.... lying was the only method that I could use to get anyone to look my way - even if it was just for a minute, for a second, if I could make them smile and pay attention to me....
That's why I chose Cheri.
[ . . . ]
I wanted to make sure - because I might... need to defect again. But I wanted to make sure that Justice had someone that would stay with him. At least until we can end this.
[He lifts his head, but turns it away toward the fire. The purple eye has no real reflection in it, but the other one is so dark it's swallowed by the flames.] What I came here for... I've decided... I don't need it. [His brows draw together pensively.]
Going back... Killing Naruto, my last friend. Destroying the Kages. Locking away the Tailed Beasts. Rebuilding Konoha. I don't need... anyone's help to do it.
I think Justice should win, but... I don't care who does. So I'm not going to move when everyone else does.
[ . . . . . and he presses his forehead into his hand
senri is having the same problem i am oocly i guess]
.... I just need you to defect to Justice tomorrow so someone I trust is with him and I'm going to try to figure out which god I need to switch to so none of them die next week.
[ . . . . ]
I want... to talk to you about all that. But... we might need to save it for when you're not cursed. So I don't have to think so hard about whether you're telling me the truth or not.
[It's probably an agreement. He doesn't do anything for a moment except sigh quietly under his breath. Reaching out, he begrudgingly takes one of the rice balls to eat. Fine. He'll eat.]
Next week, Cunning... [Damn. Curse.] Cunning is probably not hosting.
There's someone here suspicious of me, and I don't think they trust me. I don't think they'll go after me specifically.... but I thought you should know.
And I'll tell you who, if you promise not to hurt them unprovoked.
[... he hesitates still, but eventually answers - ]
It's the person who cursed me.
Probably for the same reasons - I know a lot, about plenty of people and gods, so I look suspicious. I'm well-trusted, so it means I can be dangerous if I wasn't... well. Me.
They're naturally distrusting but... came to a different conclusion than you and Ray-kun, for some reason.
week 3, saturday
it's a little bit after trial is done. he went to the kitchen to get a cup of tea to warm up his insides first, and then he got to work. perhaps that's why when he comes to find sasuke, he's got another plate of food. rice balls and tomatoes, along with two mugs of tea in the other hand]

....
You were trying to get Justice off the list, huh.

Nope. The people that I mentioned on Merriment - they look after me, because they get worried that something will happen to me since I talk so much. They would've known if I did something shady.
.... I haven't found anyone else on Justice.
I'm... flying pretty blind there, for once.

Have you asked people what they'd want if they could make their own world?

[ . . . and senri just huffs out a quiet laugh, shaking his head.]
No... Maybe I should try that but I was going to ask...
Are you coming to Justice this next week?

Why do you think I chose him? Why did you choose the god you did?

Fine.
[They'll talk at the start of the new week, he guesses. When they aren't freezing to death and cursed (hopefully).]
I want to know something.
no subject
anyway okay. senri will nudge the plate over to sasuke, though he's also taking a rice ball for himself because he's hungry.]
Go for it.

Do you know if gods can be accomplices when it comes to their followers? Or other followers?
no subject
senri is chewing thoughtfully as he eats]
.... no, I don't. I haven't asked that directly, so I can't confirm that, but if you don't ask Cheri next week, let me know and I can.
But I think that'd go against the rule that the gods have to stay out of the way, and let things happen to participants.

I don't have to go to him?

I hate your curse.

... but do you know anything about if he has enough followers...
no subject
One left. Do you know Takaomi's god?
no subject
[ . . . ]
I know... a third of the current alignments. It might change once Dizzy's rule hits but....
[ . . . he pouts]
As long as you tell me why you need to know - and swear on Justice that you don't lie - I'll tell you anyone you need to know except Ray and Bakaomi.
no subject
[:)]
I don... It doesn... [UGH.] Forget it. We can talk about it Monday when this damn curse is gone.
