I know. That's... how I felt too. There's something that I thought I wanted more than anything else - but I can't... There are too many good wishes here.
[ . . . ]
Ishirin-san... told me... that you're the last Piety, because I want to help protect you. I hope that's okay. I want you to get your wish. So... please trust me, and I'm going to try to get as many wishes granted as possible.
I'll do my best to make sure that yours and Guy-san's is one of them.
[It's only the mention of Piety that sends his eyes back open, wide, head jerking towards Senri. For a moment, his own emotional state seems to be completely cast to the side, as he stares at Senri with an expression somewhere between analytical and anxious.
And then, it's gone. It's still Senri, after all. And if Ishikirimaru trusted him, then... that was more than enough. Luke nods, acquiescing to the information—only to get sidelined by Senri's second statement.]
It depends on the wish. I'm... working on it. But, you know...
[he sighs quietly]
There are some people who don't want their wishes anymore. I... think I could go okay, without mine. That kind of thing. So I thought I'd ask for Ray-kun's instead of mine. If someone else I know wins, they could ask for your wish, instead of theirs. Because... I think some wishes are bigger than others, and they need to be on the winning team.
But... some gods will grant smaller wishes to people who aren't on their team. Favors, blessings... I don't even need that - but it'd be better than leaving this place with nothing, you know?
... you might not have to. If someone else wins, and will take Ray-kun's, then I can take yours.
This is only if you don't win yourself, of course... and I want you to. I really, really want you to. I'll let you know everything that I'm trying to plan but... I'm going to see if I can convince a lot of people to switch to Piety in the last week, so that we can get as many wishes granted as possible.
[More than his own wish, he seems... genuinely excited about the idea of people switching to Piety.]
You'd do that for us?! Piety's great, you know! He's really nice, and he really means it when he just wants to help moderate stuff! It's not a weird powergrab! He's got experience, and he's really good at it!
[It's not until he's doing rounds, looking for a few other people, that he passes through the temple's kitchen—and spots Senri, doing his own thing. For a moment, he seems to debate bothering him or not, before setting his course solidly towards his fellow redhead. Senri had a million friends, and was probably more than supported, but...
Luke sidles up, until he catches Senri's eye—and gives a little half-wave, despite their close proximity.]
[senri has been hungry - and he's in the middle of preparing some rice balls when he manages to hear luke. he looks up and offers up a smile. it's weak, and uncertain but....
it's there.]
... I feel like I should be asking you that...
[seeing as for one reason or another, senri ended up between luke's sword and ishi himself, even if it wasn't for very long at all]
...I was pretty upset, yeah. [to put it mildly.] But, I think you're right. I think...I was just so at the end of my rope, especially after last week...
[he shrugs, dropping his shoulders.]
I'm glad you still feel that way about me, even now. I... you're my friend, too, Senri.
[although he seems a little embarrassed at the borderline confession type of statement.]
...Oh, can I... ask you a favor? You can say no, if you want.
[He takes a step forward, face nervously serious, expression actually coloring.]
Will you... I mean, can you...
[Shifting his weight from foot to foot, he pauses—and points at his head.]
...cut my hair?
[?????????]
...I mentioned it in the trial, but... I understand if you wouldn't want to, anymore. I just... you're really good with stuff like that, so I'd... trust you.
Seriously? [he looks relieved.] You can still say no. I wouldn't blame you. I mean, you must still be exhausted, with all the trial stuff, and I'm here acting like nothing happened, but...
[is he giving Senri an out or trying to stop him????]
[Senri doesn't mind - he'll continue at a normal pace, though he will take a bite out of his rice ball. he looks thoughtful as he chews, as if trying to decide on his words]
... I told you that we might all try to switch to Pippin at the end. You have to protect your alignment from everybody - but especially everyone who might be on Ambition, or going back. That's Shang-san, Entrapta and Ludger-kun.
Um... that's more my advice than a favor, though.
What I was hoping is... Guy-san needs to stay with Cunning for the last week so he doesn't end up being vulnerable.
But I was wondering if... you could maybe talk him into switching to Pippin at the end, too.
It's because Dizzy and Bambi asked him to, right...? Well, that's what I thought. But... I just need him to stay there for the last week.
[but he nods quietly]
... okay. Then - I'll feel better if that's the case, Luke-kun. I think... we really can manage the numbers, at the end. I get a little more hopeful everyday, you know?
Aha, something like that. A couple of god requests, but I think it's... mostly his own decision. In the end, I think he wanted to be with Piety all along.
[His expression melts into something fond, and he catches himself, attempting to rearrange his face into something more serious as Senri talks numbers. It doesn't work—the idea of Piety winning has him absolutely beaming.]
...Are you serious about everyone switching to Piety, though? That's... really awesome!
[ . . . . he's so cute. senri watches him for a little bit before offering up a smile and a nod]
.... Taka and Ray-kun told me weeks and weeks ago - to think about convincing people to the god that would leave behind the best world, who would be the greatest leader. Um... Don't be too loud about the plan - because I'm nervous about what people might do if they find out there's a chance they don't want, and I'm worried I might get in trouble....
But I'm just trying to do what would make the greatest number of people happy, so they can get their wishes.
Then, yeah! Piety would definitely be the best choice!
[he's full-on exuberant, now.]
Why would you get into trouble? Piety really does have a great idea, and I've seen him in action before! And he'd try and do whatever he could for as many people as he can—I know he would!
