senri just wants taka's thumb and he'll grab his whole hand to press his fingerprint against the home button of his phone]
I'm taking notes in this - and I always keep it with me.
If anything happens to me first, just ask a god for my phone so you'll know everything I didn't get around to telling you, for whatever reason... It won't matter if I can't play anymore.
[senri's phone is still learning taka's fingerprint and he's quiet for a second
he consciously keeps from holding taka's hand any tighter than he already is]
... your grades are better than mine, and you ask better questions than I do. In this game, I think information is supposed to win, so no one's gonna trust a liar.
[ it's smart to have a contingency plan. he should probably comment on that, but it takes a second. ]
I dunno. You seem to be thinking ahead... and you're underestimating how people tend to follow their emotions when they're stressed. Logic has a habit of taking a backseat.
.... I told you it's hard to tell lies all the time.
I have to think about what the next encounter might be, what people will ask me, how to make sure that even if something ends up weird - at least how to get them to hate me the least.
[his phone reads taka's fingerprint and saves it, and it takes senri a second longer to bring himself to let go.
what do you do when you want someone to hold your hand, but don't know how to ask?]
But people might find out anyway...
And when they do, the disappointment will probably eat up everything else at first, then the distrust. That's all it'd take anyway.
[for him to earn someone's dislike enough to be killed]
[ he doesn't think senri would end up hated that much.
the only person he ever really gets into fights with is taka, and even when senri's lies come undone back home, people still like him after. there's always the chance it could be different here, but taka also doesn't think senri is stupid enough to fall into that big of a hell.
he doesn't say this, because he also doesn't want to admit that he doesn't think senri is that stupid. ]
because even if they argue, and have tried to get away from each other, in the end taka does not actually hate senri. and he definitely doesn't want any serious harm to come to him.
but it's difficult to put that into words. ]
We'll just have to see what all the options are. I'll talk to all of the "scary" gods.
I'm gonna try to meet at least two new gods every week to start - and I'll do favors for the ones I like. If I can get someone to tell my god that they'll defect to him, then I get a magical phone charger that never runs out of energy!
[THAT SOUNDS AWESOME BY DEFAULT REALLY]
That'll take a little more work that Beauty's.... but it's never bad to earn favor with the gods, right?
We can compare notes next week and see which gods are the best anyway.
[senri totally deserves a magical phone charger shut up]
Mm, okay.
I know someone who's on Ambition's team - but is abandoning it soon. Chuuya-san is leaving Disorder, but I think he's gonna go to Love or Sincerity since he doesn't want to go to Indulgence.
Other than that, people have been kinda tight-lipped. I'm gonna try talking to them more one on one to see if I can get them to share.
If anyone asks, can you say you think I'm on Beauty's team? It's not a lie, since that's probably your theory anyway.
no subject
Well, if a lot of people like you then you'll probably live longer.
[ taka can't say that he won't die, but the chances of someone targeting him goes down ]

[senri purses his lips at that and the mask slips for a second as he turns contemplative
and then shakes his head]
Give me your hand real quick?

We're arguing about who's going to die first.
[ it's a little funny. ]

[and senri offers up a smile at that, brittle and insincere as it may be. but it still looks perfect on his face, not a bump or break in sight.]
But... I don't want to hear about you dying first.
[rabbits can die from loneliness after all. if taka goes first, senri might follow quickly enough after.]
If it comes down to the two of us, we'll just switch to the better god and then that's how we'll win the game.

Hm. You sure know how to make people talk to you.

But I was told that this is an information game and a lying game. To tell good lies, you need good info.
That's all it is.
