[ he gets a jolt hearing that, because he's been so certain that he's been messing this up and giving senri the opposite of what a relationship should be

but senri is absolutely the happiest ever at the moment, happier than he's ever been, even though he's stuck in a murder temple. but... well, he has this boy right here and senri is so fond of him it's practically criminal]

[ it became more surprising that he said yes after senri admitted he was hinting towards tamaki that he liked him, back when he thought the god had rejected him. senri never did anything like that for taka. ]

After I said I like you, I... thought that I'd have to start avoiding you, and it made me panic, so I'm glad that didn't happen. I don't want to think of what things would be like if I couldn't lean on you.

... I'm glad that didn't happen - more than anything else, I'm glad that you're here with me.

[he's glad that taka trusts him, even though he'd made mistakes before. even though he's a liar, and taka is someone that always pursues the truth. it's a very lucky thing, and senri just leans in to press their foreheads together as he admits his truth quietly]

I didn't... think you'd ever feel that way about me. I never had anyone feel that way about me before in general, sad as it is to admit—not in a way that actually counted. That I could believe.

I thought you didn't like me at all for so long - that you only put up with me because I was the only person from home, so it made it more convenient for you to trust me. I thought that you wanted to get rid of me plenty of times, since I've always been annoying to you.

... but you stuck by me through everything. Back home, here... I caused you even more trouble than usual here, but you never left me alone.

I... always felt safe, as long as you were near. I could go out and find out what I needed to find out, because I would just bring it back to you and you'd know what to do with it. You really are my partner.

... you know, the first time I saw something when I used All Nighter. I wasn't going to tell you about it originally. I almost didn't, especially since you were already upset about another murder happening in general.

But I still did anyway. I'm still not sure why I decided to, but... when you held onto me, I think that's when it happened. When I was just, "oh, I think I might like him."

[ there were moment before, where his heart beat too fast, but he just took that as their close proximity to each other and the stress. ]

I never felt more safe than I did in that moment.

[taka is soft. underneath the bitchiness and the rudeness and the general disdain when it comes to building relationships with other people - he is so unfathomably soft and senri will probably be in love with him forever. his expression softens when taka explains it to him and he leans in to press their lips together again, even as he doesn't pause the steps of their dance]

... you're safe with me, Taka. Always.

You're a lot braver than I am... You always have been. The night that you told me - maybe it was a little imperfect, or it wouldn't work in one of Yumapi's shoujo drafts... but I think it really was the best thing that happened to me, the entire time we've been here.
