senri pauses for a second, and looks down at the bunny in his hands, before siiiiiighing. the stuffed animal gets a seat.]

[He turns around as Senri gets closer and crouches down, pulling Senri's arm over his shoulder. Senri is going to have to get on his back. Hm. It's fine? Don't worry about it.]

[this date is so fucking strange - but also he supposes he won't have a lot of choice here?? he blinks and his common sense brain is still screaming at him that he could totally die at this height if something goes wrong

he moves to get on sasuke's back anyway. he's still cold - actually colder since he confronted sasuke earlier in the day. he clings on partially because he's told to, and partially because sasuke is actually warm.]

Okay....!

[Sasuke waits until Senri is on, making sure to place hands and arms and legs so Senri is secure without... also... making this awkward and embarrassing.

And then he just--without hesitation--swings out of the door and against the side. Luckily, the buckets are square and easier to scale. Senri made the unfortunate pack of letting Disorder pick a ninja as a date. So here they go.

He's surprisingly strong, even with Senri's weight on his back, though it takes some effort and focused placement of his feet to get up to the roof. He's careful, and it'd have been much, much, much easier if he had access to his chakra, but alas, they make it after a minute or two. As long as Senri doesn't look down.

He leans over the edge of the roof at his stomach, giving Senri room over his shoulder and head. In the peace between booms, he says:]

Get off and climb up.

[fun fact: disorder also let senri pick the date location so like all in all everything comes back to nito senri being the worst person in the universe

he clings on pretty stubbornly - especially given that he can figure out what sasuke wants to do pretty easily? he's uh, not sure if he likes it yet, but he's on this wild and crazy ride now. he buries his face in sasuke's shoulder in surprise just because the booms sure are a lot louder up here - but he'll lift it once he's given instruction.]

Ah - okay.

[HE REALLY DOESN'T HAVE A CHOICE EXCEPT TO DO AS DIRECTED? so he's just going to do as told, climbing up onto the roof. luckily his balance is pretty good, and he turns back to sasuke, automatically offering his hand out even though he figures the ninja probably doesn't need it]

You good?

[Sasuke hangs there, waiting to make Senri can get on the roof without falling (making him a murderer). The hand comes out and, at first, he thinks to ignore it... but then he reaches up to grasp Senri's forearm, using the help to get himself up over the edge and to the roof himself.]

I'm fine.

[He turns as he gets there, sitting with his red heels pressed against the lipped edge of the roof. The air is better, fresh except for the smell of gunpowder, and it isn't cold--to him--or very windy.

Another loud boom goes off and, above them, wide and so much closer, is an explosion of sparks. Okay, front row seats, no kidding. He leans back some on his palms, dropping his head back.]

[it's cold to senri, binch.

that said it's a kind of novel thing to senri? there's some part of him that's still nervous - common sense really means that this is a bad idea, even though he's been forced into skydiving before - but he gets distracted pretty easily when the fireworks go off. the loud booms resound in his chest, rattling his ribcage, and he automatically moves to scoot next to sasuke - ]

Don't move, I'm cold and it's still your fault.

[that's like 80% true?

but also he's going to lean against sasuke again as he settles next to him, making himself perfectly comfortable in sasuke's side because senri has never known a shame in his life.]

... this was a good idea.

[Sasuke's sigh is low and exasperated, but he doesn't move, and he doesn't push Senri off when the lean comes. He'll suffer it for a while so long as Senri doesn't bitch about him being the worst date of all time.

He has pride, alright? Even if it's for something stupid. Besides, all of this is for one thing: those damn favors.]

Mm.

[The rumble is drowned out by the cannon fire at the field and the resounding crackle in the sky above them after. Unfortunately, running to the ferris wheel, getting in, getting up, and then climbing on the roof gives them all of the finale.

A harrowing, rocketing cluster of six back-to-back, followed by four more, so most of them explode together before the rest fade. It leaves the air hot and tangy with ignition, and Sasuke is almost very slightly disappointed. Nothing comes for a minute or two after, so it must be over.

Carefully, he shoves Senri up off him; however, instead of jumping up to get down, he... peels off the denim jacket and drops it over Senri's head.]

[Senri goes with the shove because he supposes he's not too surprised by Sasuke reclaiming his personal space as soon as possible - though when the jacket gets dropped on his head, he laughs in surprise?]

Hey - if you're going to do something sweet, why can't you just go the full way and put it on my shoulders?

[but he supposes he doesn't hate it, and i wish that he did!! instead he's going to slip his arms through the sleeves of sasuke's jacket easily, pulling it close to him even as he shivers against another chill that shoots down his spine.

he looks around, checking how far they are from the ground - and automatically steps closer to sasuke by default just because he's nervous]

Can we just get down from here? Oh, we have to grab Yuki....

I'm only doing it because you keep complaining you're cold.

[He follows Senri's gaze out over the ground below through the rungs of the ferris wheel. Nothing bothers him. Well, it does slightly because he can't use his chakra, but the height doesn't make him nervous.

In fact, the ring is dingy red turning into orange.]

Give me your hands. I'm going to swing you down and in the door.

[He holds out both hands for Senri to take. You trust him, right, Senri?]

I'm only going to get colder, so you should make me tea everyday.

[ . . . . . . senri sighs. he sighs a lot. even as he places his hands in sasuke's.]

We could've just gone on the roller coaster if you wanted to try something wild with my life.

accepting his fate though]

I was hoping I'd drop you.

[Just kidding. Or is he...?

Raising Senri's hands a bit, he steps right on up to Senri's front, boxing Senri in to the edge over the door.] Jump down, and I'll swing you inside. Don't let go. [It's a bit nerve-wracking, but Sasuke has his legs parted for balance, and his grip on Senri's hands are firm.

He waits for Senri to drop when ready, and when Senri finally does, he'll bend, catch, and swing Senri forward inside of the bucket while letting go.]

Bad joke!

[senri stop whining - and even if he says it's a bad joke, apparently his trust in sasuke is so unfortunately strong that he's actually not that concerned. he felt more nervous when he was just on the roof on his own, but he's not worried given that sasuke's hands are in his.

he really doesn't think anything bad will happen to him, so long as sasuke's around.

so he takes in a breath and honestly just pretends like it's when he has to fall into a trap door on the stage. there's little hesitation before he actually drops, holding onto sasuke's hands, and then lands neatly on his feet inside the bucket.]

—Yuki, we're back in one piece!

[gonna collect their new stuffed animal daughter now]

["We're," Senri says.

The door closes behind Senri and Yuki just as the ferris wheel decides to again begin its movement, and Sasuke isn't inside. He's holding onto the bucket, propped with his hands and feet, and he peers into the window at Senri for a moment or two--

--and then he just leans himself back and drops out over the support beam and down toward the ground.

Senri's panicking because of course he is?! SASUKE, DON'T DO THAT. He's gonna forget the bunny for a second to instead open the door again, gripping onto the doorway for the bucket for dear life now that his emotional support ninja has disappeared - ]

Sasuke?!

[HE'S SO WORRIED, HIS HEART'S IN HIS THROAT, HE'S GONNA DIE]

[A little, thin wire with a hook has been notched into the beam several feet from the bucket door, glinting and taunt.

Down, falling fast, is Sasuke's form, aerodynamic and unafraid, almost peaceful up until the focus of swinging around and lifting an arm. The wire pings, jerks, and the hook slides off as Sasuke's feet catch the long support beam yards down; he keeps running with his arms back as the wire ravels in, whistling to catch up to the band around his arm.

At the end, he jumps off again, flips, lands on another beam below, letting his shoes slide along the increasing diagonal of the wheel spinning clockwise. Everything is practiced. There's not much denying Sasuke truly being a ninja aside from being something equally as impressive.

He does this the entire way to the bottom where he lands solidly on his feet. Senri is only just over the crest of descending. When Sasuke stands and glances up and back, he smirks.]

[oh my god he's really hated never anyone more, for real this time.

senri ends up sinking to the floor of the bucket, still gripping onto the doorway with one hand, but he lets his feet hang out as he watches sasuke do this stupid ninja bullshit. he's losing his fucking mind but also can't deny that it's really fucking cool? he's so angry. he's like impressed and furious all at once. once sasuke's on the ground and they meet eyes, he claps along with his laughter.

apparently he does not care for anyone else's peace of mind as the bucket descends and when he thinks that sasuke can actually hear him, he shouts - ]

You're the worst! At least warn me next time!!

[Sliding his hands into the pockets of the jeans, Sasuke waits for the ferris wheel to bring Senri down again. His scoff can probably be heard, but if not, the look on his face is enough for Senri to know.]

Scaredy-cat.

[It was good to stretch in a way he hadn't in a week or two. The thrill reminded him he's real, this is real, and he hadn't lost anything about himself even if his abilities had been stolen.

It left him with wild, unkempt hair and his shirt ruffled up around his waist, but it's fine. It was all worth it.]

[dumb ninja punk that senri is inexplicably fond of.

he shakes his head in response and gets up just to grab Yuki from where she'd been waiting in the bucket this whole time. then he'll hop out once it's a reasonable distance from the ground and jog over to meet Sasuke where he is. it's automatic how one hand reaches out to adjust Sasuke's shirt so it falls better, then coming up to try to guide his hair back into place even as Senri laughs.]

I should've jumped and made you catch me like you said you would.

[but also sasuke might have just dropped him out of spite after that]

[He glances down when Senri fixes his shirt like he didn't know it was even messed up, but that only gives more of his head for Senri to immediately start fixing after. A bit of fussing, and he turns his head away like a kid getting its mouth wiped, reaching up with his own hand to fix it, too, like Senri had made it too perfect or something.]

Tch. You're too scared.

[He reaches out and grabs Senri's nose between his thumb and index finger, squeezing a little bit roughly, holding it.] I'm done with your stupid date, and I'm going back to the temple. [Maybe. He lets go and does turn around to start walking.]
