I think... everyone in the temple needs to choose the same god for the competition to be over.

And some gods might not want to wait for all forty to come to a consensus - so they'll just try to kill people to reduce the numbers instead. Since if you're - not alive, you don't count as a follower anymore.

She said she's going away after this - and when I asked, we don't know if there'll be a way to reach her aside from offerings.

So I don't know if her 'No' rule will still count.

I think it should. All of the gods made a bunch of rules between them for how this is going to work, and they made some sort of divine promise on them so they can't break them. That's probably one of them.

Uh huh. I asked them a question about something, and when they tried to answer they were physically unable to. It would break one of their rules on giving out information.

I think Passhi told someone else [rabbits have good ears and senri is a canon eavesdropper why] that they got the offer to be gods, and didn't see a reason to turn it down.

Maybe they can't reveal anything about themselves to us right now - sorta like how they're all wearing masks? Passhi said she won't remove her mask or tell her real name for fairness too, but we might be able to find out later.

Yeah, it sounds like they'll be allowed to tell us more as time passes.

[ granted they have no idea what they're not allowed to know until they ask a million questions. ]

But it does seem like they want to at least make an attempt at keeping it fairish, so while they might add more rules I don't think the "no" one is going away.
