Right - and I told you not to pick any fights with anybody here.
[he sounds unsure of himself, like he's not sure how to navigate this conversation.]
- because my god said there's two ways to play. Everyone chooses the same god, so one team completely absorbs all the others and if we do that, then no one has to get hurt. So if we can rally all... what, forty people? To follow the same person, we'll be okay.
his fingers curl into the sheet of the bed and he turns his gaze to the floor.]
And some gods might not want to wait for all forty to come to a consensus - so they'll just try to kill people to reduce the numbers instead. Since if you're - not alive, you don't count as a follower anymore.
I think it should. All of the gods made a bunch of rules between them for how this is going to work, and they made some sort of divine promise on them so they can't break them. That's probably one of them.
[ senri stop trying to aggressively friendship the gods ]
Uh huh. I asked them a question about something, and when they tried to answer they were physically unable to. It would break one of their rules on giving out information.
[ . . . hmmm. senri kicks his feet at that as he tries to remember]
I think Passhi told someone else [rabbits have good ears and senri is a canon eavesdropper why] that they got the offer to be gods, and didn't see a reason to turn it down.
Maybe they can't reveal anything about themselves to us right now - sorta like how they're all wearing masks? Passhi said she won't remove her mask or tell her real name for fairness too, but we might be able to find out later.
Yeah, it sounds like they'll be allowed to tell us more as time passes.
[ granted they have no idea what they're not allowed to know until they ask a million questions. ]
But it does seem like they want to at least make an attempt at keeping it fairish, so while they might add more rules I don't think the "no" one is going away.

[ he doesn't trust senri to give him info ]

... mm, I met with my god. He told me two ways this game could be played.... One is easy, but the other -
[and he doesn't sound too happy about it]
I just - want to make sure that we're all being told the same thing.

[ he folds his arms over his chest. ]
How some of the gods want to make the world a better place, whatever their definition of that is.
no subject
[and senri will just sigh and go to sit on the bed bc he can only have so much difficult conversation while standing up]
I think... everyone in the temple needs to choose the same god for the competition to be over.
no subject
[ which may be difficult considering they're all strangers and also don't know what the fuck conversations people are having with their gods. ]
... are you okay with yours?
no subject
[ . . . ]
How about you and yours?
no subject
[ take that as you will. ]

[TAKA DEALT WITH SENRI'S BULLSHIT ALL SCHOOL YEAR]

[ unlike SOME people ]

[ so shut up ]

Maybe but -
[ . . . . ugh. there's something he wants to talk about more but he's not sure how to lead into it the way he wants.]
... You hear a lot of scary stuff, when you're doing your detective cases, right?
no subject
[ senri doesn't usually ask about his work, so he's waiting to see where he's going with this. ]

[ there's a long pause after he says that. and when he talks again, he is trying to keep his voice even. ]
Patience said that if you say no to their requests, they can't do anything to physically harm you, but they might still curse you.
they're having this conversation in the hostel now bc dana's a dumb bitch
Even if it's not her week?
She said she's going away after this - and when I asked, we don't know if there'll be a way to reach her aside from offerings.
So I don't know if her 'No' rule will still count.

Did your god tell you that?
no subject
[ which is annoying but whatever. ]
no subject
[senri doesn't ask interesting questions]
What did you ask? I'll ask my god and see if we run into the same problem, just in case.
no subject
... apparently they're new to the whole deity thing? Or a bunch of them are, anyway.
