I know. [He sighs. Normies.] I can pull things to me or push them away. I can augment my body with limbs or weapons. I can steal a soul and read a person's mind. I can summon almost any creature. I can absorb all chakra. I can summon the King of Hell. And I can destroy or raise the dead. I can manipulate time and space, including exchanging my body with another object as redirect. I can control the Tailed Beasts.
All with the rinnegan.
[He glances over his shoulder at Senri.] I can lock you in an illusion, the worse nightmare you can imagine, for years. You would relive it over and over. A day would be a month of real time. I can burn you with black flames, ones no water can extinguish. I can summon Susanoo, a spiritual avatar. [Strangely, he sounds somewhat forlorn, even with these listed... merits???]
I told you... I'm not like you. I'm not like anything in your world.
[ . . . . and senri just nods quietly at uh. all of that. that's a lot to take in, and he still feels like he didn't understand parts of it.
even so, he doesn't look that afraid]
... well, you wouldn't do any of that to me.
[TRUST!!!]
But... no matter what you can do, or what you've done, I still think that Tokyo would be good for you... Our school isn't exactly normal... by any stretch... but I think you'd have fun even.
[It's given tiredly. He turns back to the sword, but his fingers don't seem to know what to try next, so he just sits there for a little bit without moving.]
You nor Takaomi have told me anything about it. How am I supposed to know? You haven't told me anything but what little you said of "Yuma," or what you've said of your motives here.
[which is probably something stupid to say to sasuke but like.]
They're all so weird and so rich.
[SENRI HATES RICH PEOPLE, BACK WITH A VENGEANCE]
Shinonome is a school in Tokyo, Japan. Shibuya that Cheri showed us? That only a part of Tokyo. It's a huge city, and we're going to have to show you around to make sure you don't get lost. But the academy is huge, and there's a bunch of students that go there - but Taka and I are a part of the Special Class. They only admit a few students each year. You need to pass a pretty selective Scouting process, as well as do well on a test. I barely scraped by on the test, but apparently Taka got perfect marks. He got in because he's from a detective family, and I got in because I'm the hope of the theatre - a talented actor.
Yumapi is a manga artist even though he's only fifteen, and his art skills are off the charts. Hari, one of our classmates, is the son of the Prime Minister - which might be like... the Hokage of Japan? He's number one in everything. Grades, athletics, being totally removed from reality, you name it. Yuni just joined our class and he's some mafia heir from Italy - he tried to kill one of our senpai with a sniper. I hated it.
[dream!ing is. so much.]
There's another mafioso, a model, a shaman, a world-renowned surgeon, some nobility - and Kumarin-senpai, who I think would love you, is apparently the top martial artist in the world. He just travels to go to different fighting competitions...
But I think even you would have a weird time with the actual Yume Live system. It basically lets you into people's dreams.

Slowly, he sits up and back, turned at the shoulders to look at Senri while Senri talks. It sounds... maybe a bit unusual, but nothing shocking. Not to him. Naruto world is completely and utter horseshit in all senses.
Sasuke and Naruto fought a god that came out of the fucking moon, so.
But he hadn't realized things weren't as ordinary as he thought for Senri and Taka. At least... not by ordinary standards.] Mm. [His brows furrow.]
"Let's you into people's dreams"? [oh no] No one should be in mine.
It's... more complicated than that. There's special eye masks, and then special headsets - but basically you get to enjoy one communal dream. It's also how they rank people based on follower counts, and you need higher follower counts in order to get top seat. Sort of like here. Except in our school, it's basically decided every year.
Whichever set of students - we're locked into pairs - graduates at the top seat - they're basically called the hope of the nation. They get access to information, money, resources, connections to the government, corporations, you name it....
So you can shape the future of Japan, if you want to.
[dream!ing characters were really good choices for plasma send tweet]
[His brows don't unfurrow at all. It's something he gets, sure. He thinks it's weird, of course, but he gets the gist of it. And yet... He's not a fan. Not exactly. It sounds too similar to here actually.]
... because you're my friend, and I don't want to say goodbye. [that's the simplicity of it, but - ] Taka and I think it'd be good for you, too. It's not super boring, but it's also... not the same thing that you've been through. It's peaceful. You don't have to put yourself in danger all the time, for the sake of what you want to do.
We could just play video games for a while, or check out the rest of Tokyo. Watch movies, go to concerts, do something besides fighting. Travel, explore, figure out... something else.
[ . . . ]
You don't have to stay forever, if you decide that you hate it, I guess.
[The sigh he gives is soft and resigned. He turns his head and looks away idly at the bench with the sword, not at it so much as through it.
He doesn't think he'll ever be ordinary. It's not something he really wants, but also not something he thinks he's capable of achieving.] I can't allow himself to get weak, not if I'm going to help Naruto change our village. Protect it. [Still, here, he's learned...
There are some things he has taken for granted in the fact he just never cared to pay attention to them.]
[senri laughs faintly at that - and he ends up letting his gaze flick up to sasuke as he gives him a smile, simple and sweet.]
If you don't use all your weird ninja magic, my money's on Kumarin-senpai giving you a hard time. That guy's super weird.
[but.]
... if you want to try, then I'm happy. It's okay, if you change your mind - but... if you never came along at all, I think I'd really hate the idea of not being able to see you again.
I know that maybe we're still going to spend a little while looking for a place that you can call home, or maybe if you'll have two... but I just think that you deserve a nice rest, when you can afford to take one.
[Look. He may be a sad emo ninja, but he still has PRIDE. Let him have this...
For a moment or two, he just kind of stares back over at Senri, and his face is such a mix of things that the expression is unreadable. And then, all at once, he quickly turns his head completely away in the opposite direction, almost like he's embarrassed.
[ . . . that's kind of embarrassing, now that senri might have an idea of what it means.
but he'll pretend like he has no clue, for both of their sakes]
... Please tell Naruto-kun and Sakura-san that I say hello, whenever you go to see them too. I'll remind you later, but I thought it'd be worth saying now. Maybe we can pick up stuff that they'd like from Shibuya and send it back with you...
[Stop. He just wants... to be miserable and broody.
But he ends up... smile very faintly despite himself, even if he keeps working and doesn't lift his head. The very edge of it can be seen at the corner of his lips.]
[He continues with the sword for a bit, but then finally, just... gives up for now. He's smart, though not as miraculous with technology as, say, Ray, or Entrapta. He parts all of the components and wraps what he can up, pushing it out of the way.
Leaning back, he turns and points across the lab at a cabinet desk on the other side. There's sheets of graph paper there, blue on one side, white on the other.]
[Taking the first paper, he slides it over the edge of the bench and tears off enough of a portion to make the paper square rather than rectangular. He discards the sliver off to the side, puts the square over, and then he does the same with the second paper.
He faces the bench, preparing, and Senri will have to scoot up beside him since they each have a paper to themselves.
For a moment, he's thoughtful. And then he makes the first fold, waiting for Senri to follow.]
